Today has been another day of disaster cleanup, insurance adjusters working with clients and some great comradery and comforting!
It isn't the END of the northwest part of town,
but a renewal that many will realize when the rebuilding starts and ends!

There is a relief fund for Williamsville victims at the Williamsville State Bank.
Mail a check to the Williamsville State Bank, P.O. Box 379, Williamsville, IL 62693;
made out to "Village of Williamsville Donation Fund".
Or people can make donations to the American Red Cross Local Disaster Relief fund,
which is used to provide Red Cross aid to affected families in both Williamsville and Loami
(another small town hit by the tornado) by sending a check to Illinois
Capital Area Chapter, P.O. Box 1058, 1045 Outer Park Drive, Springfield, IL, 62704.

An unfortunate component of disasters include compromised negotiations with contractors regarding clean-up efforts.  If any residents have been unfairly victimized by any contractor soliciting business, please notify the village.  While volunteering efforts are welcomed and encouraged, we have had some reports of unsavory  business dealings masked by "good intentions".  Contact the Village Hall at (217) 566-3806 for any questions or issues you may have experienced involving suspicious contractors or other individuals.
